Tourist trap as it may be, Jonker Street and its surrounds still retain enough old world charm to be authentic, at the same time bringing in some freshness with the boho-chic boutiques, cafes and galleries sprouting up around the area. Even if you’re not there for the souvenir shopping, it’s a nice place to chill out and just soak in the atmosphere of a place that was once the center of east-west maritime trade.
